The Underground Film School is an experience, not simply a place, class or workshop. It is the beginning of the journey for the new generation of storytellers in high school and middle school to be educated, empowered and launched. Students will get access unlike anywhere else to instructors, productions, and the movie industry. Learn tips and tricks to take your movies to the next level!
Below are the various film classes, experiences, and workshops the Underground Film School is currently offering. We will be looking at constantly evolving the programs so keep an eye out for new offerings all the time, or let us know what you’re looking if you can’t find it here yet.
Film 101 is The Underground’s foundational film course. Students will receive a great introductory hands-on experience with the filmmaking process. The program includes large group teaching, small group instruction with amazing teachers, industry professional workshops, film screenings and production team time where students make a short film from start to finish.
With 2 locations in Cincinnati there’s a place close by to explore filmmaking.

These weekend workshops provide a full day of working with film industry professionals to learns the tricks of the trade to take your films to the next level.

Storytelling is the backbone of all great films. Without a great script, a memorable film is almost impossible. It’s time to take your stories and scripts to the next level! This 4-week 1-on-1 online sessions with professional writers offer you an invaluable resource.

Mentor works with existing script written by the student
Intermediate and Experienced filmmakers will find Film 201 a time to refine their skills, work in an accelerated environment, meet fellow ambitious filmmakers, and move the needle on their own film journey.
