The Underground’s Mission:

The Underground is a training and equipping center where students discover their passion in the arts, sharpen their artistic skills, explore their faith, and hone their purpose to tell transforming and transcendent stories that will impact the world.

How the UG Works:

The Underground is a state-of-the-art club concert venue, which provides top-quality, live entertainment from local and national music acts. It is an open-floor venue with a 1200 person capacity (limited seating available) with full sound and lights available. It is a positive alternative with a smoke, drug and alcohol-free environment for teenagers while operating from Judeo-Christian values.

The Underground is a place where stories are discovered, nurtured, and showcased.  We believe every teen has a story and our mission is to empower teens to creatively tell their stories.  Through our one-of-a-kind music, media, and after school programs we provide teens with opportunities and resources to grow artistic and professional skills that empower them to be a force for changing culture.

Our programs connect teens with tools in the music and media arts that speak their modern language.  Teens are given access to state-of-the-art equipment, committed mentors, and dynamic space to showcase their talents to their friends, family, and peers.  Teens know The Underground is a place where they can find community.  It’s a third space between home and school where their ideas and personal uniqueness is not just accepted but embraced in  way that empowers them to tell life-changing stories that impact others and the world.

We Need Your Help:

With the your help we hope The Underground will be a sustainable and vibrant place for students for years to come.  The Underground operates because of incredibly talented and friendly volunteers who partner with our staff to accomplish our vision.  Volunteer opportunities include everything from assisting with house operations for concerts, to hanging with teenagers during the week at the after school program, to facilitating and teaching music and media workshops.  If you have a heart for film, music, and empowering teens, there’s a place for you here!
